The liver chestnut filly walked slowy. her head low for she is only 4 months. being abandon from her mom was bad enough. Another arab foal was not what the leader wanted. It was eaither her or them both. So her mom choose her to be kicked out. She looked weak but was strong. BUt only needed milk. Her litttle whinny sound small but loud enough. Her tail flicked along as the hot day grew hotter. Her little hooves have covered enough ground from traveling so far. THe marsh felt good under her feet as she stood in the mud. OCmpletley relaxed but starving.

Treason had always had a soft spot for foals. She'd always wanted to be a mother. But being a band she would never have one of her own. For she didnt even want to get close to a stallion. So she'd came her just to look around and see what this place was about. Not expecting any babys this time of year! It was spring mateing time but not foaling time! She looked causiously arounf the marsh. But seen nothing.
Soon a little whinney was heard. A foal? Her ears perked forward...Was she ready to be a mom? She could bearly handle being herslef so how was she going to be a mother? But she knew she couldnt leave the little one. So she started walking, searching and thinking.
Soon she'd came to the little filly. Oh what a beautiful Arabian. Treason's mother had been part arab if she had remembered right...She looked at the young one not wanting to scare her. Thy dubbance is Treason little flicka, what be yours?... She paused but didnt take any steps closer only waited. She didnt want the young one to bound off and be alone once more....

A bit starteled she jerked her feet out of the mud but didn't go anywhere. She looked up with her softbrown eyes. "Cheyenne" she spoke quietly. Her voice almost like a squek. Her bony side was still gleaming that liver chestnut look. She looked part arab but wouldn't ask. Chey flicked her tail and took a few steps closer. But she held herself back from going any closer. She longed to be with her mother but couldn't. SHe hadn't seen a mare in weeks. She closed her eyes feeling the pain in her stomach. THe 4month old filly trembled with weakness. She opened them again and sighed.

She smiled, she had had milk, it was a motherly thing. She didnt know if she had much, but she was sure the foal wouldnt mind. Nice to meet you Cheyenne....You look very hungry... She pointed to her understomic with her nose, Please little one....Help yourself....

The filly shook her head. She did want to drink but not from a stranger. Her legs trembled and stomach grumbled. She shut her eyes and took a few steps closer. Chey opened her eyes and stretched her neck out. Her eyes locked on the mare while she drank. It was good and tnederly and enough to fill her stomach. SHe finished with a sigh and steped back. She yawned and looked back at Treason and nickered. "Thank you" she spoke softly.

Your welcome....Now dont you feel better? She then walked closer to the young one and groomed part of her neck. She hoped the foal would find that enjoyable. She liked the little one. She was sweet and polite...

She noded her head. She liked this grooming and tried it on the mare. But she couldn't reach so she relaxed. This mare was sweet,kind,loveable...

She smiled, than said with sweet words, There little one, all cleaned up..... She wondered, How old are you? She looked into the little flicka's eyes, her own sweet and understandable.

"Im four months old." she said ashamed. "My mom had me kept for a secret for 4months then the leader of the herd she was in found me. He told my mom it was eaither me or both of us. SHe choose me and ignored me and forced me out. He couldn't keep anymore horses in the herd. So I ran. ANd stoped here." she choked out the words. She had tears running down her face.

She reached over and nuzzled her.....There there.... She whiped teh tears with her muzzle. She knew how it felt....exactly how it felt. Alone...Scared...Hungry...She waited alittle then nudged her......Do you like me well enough to stay with me for awhile? We'd do lots of fun things!

Chey 'thinked' about it. SHe gave a smile and noded. "Yes..m.m.mother" she spoke shyly. CHey walked foreard and nuzzeled her. SHe burried her head into themares chest.

She knew the young mare must have been so scared. She put her head down to embrace her and nuzzled her lightly, She stepped back and then wondered? Have you ever been to the beach Chey? She wanted to take her and play in teh sand. She nudged her.....Its a lot of fun m'little love..

Cheys eyes shined. She shook her head no but bonded around her mom. "No..But..Can...We...Go??" she said as she laped around ehr mom. Cheyenne was ffull of energy and never had seen an ocean before.

She kissed her cheek with love for her daughter, and then nipped her playfully....Beat you there... and she lept off at a slow jog....
